Visit Ghaznī

Ghazni is a province in Afghanistan located south of Kabul and east of Kandahar. It has a population of over one million people and is known for its diverse ethnic groups, religious traditions and cultural practices. The major languages spoken are Pashto and Persian.

The historical city of Ghazni was the capital city in the 12th century during the Ghaznavids dynasty, making it an important place for visitors to explore. Some tourist attractions include the Sher Darwaza complex which includes five ancient towers with intricate designs, the Minaret of Sultan Mahmud which stands 31 meters tall, and ruins from old mosques like Masjid-e Kalan.

An interesting historical fact about this region is that it was once home to one of Asia's largest libraries with over 400,000 books! The library was destroyed by Genghis Khan in 1221 when he invaded Ghazni but it remains an important part of Afghan culture today. There are also several hiking trails around Ghazni if visitors want to immerse themselves in nature or get some fresh air outside their sightseeing itinerary!
