Visit Lōgar

The Logar region is a province in the southeastern part of Afghanistan. It is bordered by Kandahar to the west, Paktia to the north, and Ghazni and Kabul to the east. The landscape of this region varies from lowland plains alongside streams in its southern portion, rolling hills covered with pine trees in its center and snow-covered mountain peaks of the Hindu Kush range along its northern border.

One of the popular tourist attractions located here is Gardez City which features ancient architecture and mosques. There are also many historic sites around this city such as Darul Aman Palace that dates back to 1927 when it was built by King Amanullah Khan as his residence for summer vacations. Additionally, an interesting fact about Logar is that it was where Alexander The Great built Alexandria Ariana (meaning 'Town Of Alexander') during his invasion of India in 330 BC - making it one of Afghanistan's oldest cities.

Another fascinating site within this province is Sarobi town with its large medieval fortress known as Bala Hissar Tower commanding views over surrounding valleys and mountainsides - making for some spectacular panoramic scenes. This area has recently seen a lot more tourism activity due to new road investments which allow visitors easier access from Kabul city center.
