The Northern Region of Albania is a stunningly beautiful area filled with forests, mountains and pristine beaches along the Adriatic coastline. During the summer months, tourists flock to this region to take in its natural beauty and explore its rich history. The city of Shkoder is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, offering visitors an array of archaeological sites, including Rozafa Castle and Lake Shkoder. Butrint National Park is another must-see destination for nature lovers, as it boasts ruins from ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine settlements. Other interesting places to visit include Kruja Old Town and Gjirokastra Old Town - both world heritage sites recognized for their traditional architecture.

It's also worth noting that this region has a deep historical connection with the Catholic faith - St Paul's Cathedral in Lezhe was built over 500 years ago by Scanderbeg - an Albanian warrior who fought against Ottoman invasion during the 15th century and remains a source of pride among many Albanians today.
