Visit Aïn Defla Province


The Ain Defla Province of Algeria is located in the northwest corner of the country, bordering Morocco. It is a region known for its lush green valleys, ancient ruins and its rich history.

The capital city of Ain Defla, also called Ain Defla, is a bustling hub for commerce and culture. Its grand mosque, Souq d'al-Kebir marketplace and beautiful architecture make it an ideal destination for visitors to Algeria.

Ain Defla was founded in 1835 by Sultan Abd al-Qadir al-Jazairi who established a state there which continued until French colonization in 1871. The province has played an important role throughout Algerian history ever since.
