Visit Aïn Témouchent Province

Ain Temouchent is an Algerian province located in the northwest corner of the country. It is bordered by Morocco and the Mediterranean Sea, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. The region has many beaches, making it ideal for beachgoers looking to relax or explore its many coves. In addition to its stunning coastlines, Ain Temouchent offers plenty of cultural attractions such as ancient mosques and traditional markets in its capital city also known as Ain Temouchent.

Two of the most popular tourist sites are La Grotte de Dangara (a cave with rock formations unique to Algeria) and La Mosquee Saraya (an 11th-century mosque). For those looking for a more relaxing experience, there are plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking through the lagoons, exploring mountain trails and bird watching.

An interesting historical fact about Ain Temouchent is that it was a major center of Jewish culture up until 1962 when most Jews were expelled from Algeria during their War Of Independence against France. As such you can still find remnants of Jewish architecture scattered throughout the cities in this province today.
