Visit Blida Province


Blida Province is located in the northwest of Algeria, about 30 miles south of Algiers. It's a popular tourist destination, known for its stunning landscapes and cultural attractions. The city of Blida itself is surrounded by mountains, valleys and forests that make it an ideal place to explore nature. There are also numerous historical sites scattered throughout the province, such as the Chateau de Blida and the ancient Roman ruins at Jijel.

The area is home to several natural parks and reserves where visitors can see native wildlife including hyenas, jackals, deer and wild boar. For those looking for a bit of adventure there are several hiking trails in the nearby Djebel Babor Mountains or you can go white-water rafting on one of the many rivers that flow through Blida Province.

For a unique experience visitors can also take part in an overnight trek with local guides to experience traditional Berber culture and visit some of their ancient villages along the way. An interesting historical fact about Blida Province is that it was once host to French military forces during World War II who used part of it as a base for their operations against Nazi Germany forces in North Africa.
