Visit Saïda Province

Saida Province is located in western Algeria, bordering Morocco and the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital is the city of Saida. The beautiful province boasts of its grand landscapes, green valleys, and picturesque Berber villages tucked within its mountainous terrains.

One of the most popular tourist spots is Les Gorges de l'Oued Rheris which feature an 8km long canyon with limestone cliffs up to 250m high along both sides of the riverbed in Tlemcen National Park. In addition to this, visitors can also explore Fort Bab El Assa which was built by Spanish forces during their colonisation of Algeria.

The province has a rich history which dates back to Phoenician times when it served as a trading post between North Africa and Europe. It was later occupied by many great empires including the Romans, Byzantines and Arabs who left behind remains such as mausoleums from their respective eras that still stand today.
