Visit Tébessa Province


Tebessa Province is located in eastern Algeria near the Tunisian border. It borders Tunisia to the east, El Oued Province to the south and Annaba Province to the west. This province is known for its lush rolling hills, deep valleys and mountainous terrain. It has many attractions that appeal to both locals and tourists alike.

When visiting Tebessa Province one of the main tourist spots is El Kantara, a small mountain village on top of a cliff with beautiful views and picturesque scenery. Another exciting attraction in this region is Kolat Bel Hadj Ammar which offers visitors amazing waterfalls and pools surrounded by green vegetation - ideal for picnicking or swimming in clear waters during summertime!

A notable historical fact about Tebessa Province is that it was once part of Numidia, an ancient Berber kingdom from 200 BC until 40 AD before becoming a Roman territory. The city of Thugga which was developed during this period includes ruins of ancient baths as well as walls built over 2 thousand years ago proving its rich historical past!
