Visit Crooked Island

Crooked Island is an archipelagic region of the Bahamas situated in the Caribbean Sea. It is composed of two main islands: Crooked Island and Acklins, as well as a number of smaller cays and islets. The area offers miles of pristine beaches, spectacular reefs, lush vegetation, and abundant wildlife.

Tourists can explore the beautiful pink sand beaches in Crooked Island that stretch out along its eastern shore or take a boat trip to the renowned Bird Rock lighthouse located off Lang Bay on Little Ragged Island. This historical landmark still shines over the sea today - it was built in 1861 to redirect ships away from perilous natural reefs. Tourists can also visit Salina Point Park which provides access to some amazing mangrove creeks perfect for spotting dolphins and stingrays while kayaking or taking a leisurely stroll through nature's beauty!

Crooked Island also has a rich history linked to piracy - legend has it that Captain Henry Jennings buried treasure worth millions here back in 1719 when he hid his booty from explorers coming to claim it!
