Visit San Salvador

San Salvador is one of the provinces in the Bahamas, located on an island of the same name. It offers beautiful white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and a wide variety of activities and attractions for visitors. A few must-see places include Santa Maria de la Concepcion, a Spanish fort dating back to 1780 which is now part of San Salvador's national park; and Gordon's Blue Hole, a large saltwater sinkhole that's more than 400 feet deep. The island also has many historical sites such as Bennett's Harbour, where Christopher Columbus landed in 1492; the Hill View Bight Nature Reserve, once a thriving plantation with ruins still visible today; and Long Bay settlement on Graham's Harbour where evidence suggests it was inhabited since 1500 BC! There are plenty of opportunities for water sports or simply soaking up some sun while taking in all that San Salvador has to offer.
