Visit Chittagong Division


Chittagong Division is located in the southeast of Bangladesh and is one of the eight administrative divisions. The division covers an area of 33,771 km2, making it the largest of the country's eight divisions. The Chittagong Division is made up of 11 districts: Bandarban, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Chittagong, Comilla, Cox's Bazar, Feni, Khagrachari , Lakshmipur , Noakhali and Rangamati .

The coastal city of Chittagong is a major port town and has a rich history dating back to the 16th century. There are many places to visit including Foy's Lake Amusement Park which offers rides and activities for all ages. Another popular tourist spot is Patenga Beach which offers beautiful views over the Bay Of Bengal.

An interesting historical fact about Chittagong Division is that it was home to some famous revolutionaries in Bangladesh's Liberation War including Bir Sreshtho Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir who lost his life while trying to save three fellow soldiers during a skirmish with Pakistani forces.
