Visit Khulna Division


The Khulna Division of Bangladesh is an administrative region located in southwestern Bangladesh. It has a population of over 15 million people and is the third-largest division in the country. The capital city is also called Khulna and is a commercial center for the area's fishing, jute, timber, and textile industries. The region has numerous attractions, both man-made and natural. Nature lovers can explore Sundarbans National Park where they will find some of the world's largest mangrove forests home to Bengal tigers as well as many other wildlife species. Kaligonj Upazila is also a must-visit attraction with its picturesque Buddhist temples and monuments dating back to 17th century Mughal rule. An interesting historical fact about this region is that during the 1971 Liberation War, it was here that Bangladesh's first national flag raised which later grew into a symbol of freedom from Pakistani oppression across the whole nation.
