Visit Saint Andrew

Saint Andrew of Barbados is a small parish located in the southeastern corner of the island. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Barbados, known for its beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and an abundance of cultural activities. The area is also home to historical sites such as St. Andrew's Parish Church, which was built in 1745 by British settlers.

The area offers plenty to do for tourists and locals alike! Tourists can take a boat ride around Carlisle Bay to view the many ships and marine life in the surrounding waters. Visitors should also visit Codrington College - a beautiful college that was established by Christopher Codrington in 1745 - or explore Preachers Cave where slaves are said to have taken refuge during British rule.

One interesting fact about Saint Andrew of Barbados is that it was once home to Sir Grantley Adams, who served as Prime Minister from 1958-1962 and helped bring independence to Barbados during his tenure. He later went on to become Governor-General from 1976-1985 after independence was declared in 1966.
