Discover Minsk

1.8 million

Minsk is the capital and largest city of Belarus. Located in the heart of Eastern Europe, it is a bustling metropolis with a population of almost 2 million people. It possesses an eclectic architecture that combines Russian, European, and Gothic styles to create unforgettable visual experiences for its visitors. The historic city center contains numerous churches, monuments and squares - most notably Komsomolskaya Square which was once a site for public executions - as well as unique restaurants, cafes and galleries which make Minsk worth visiting.

When you visit Minsk, be sure to take some time to explore the stunning National Library of Belarus building with its modern curves and multi-story skywalkway. You should also visit Cathedral Island - home to four Orthodox Churches built between 1642-1699 - or head up to Gorky Park where you can enjoy walking trails along the Svislach River or leisurely pedal boat rides along its banks. Finally don't miss out on experiencing the traditional culture of Belarus at either their Folk Art Museum or Circus Theater - both great places to see performances by local musicians and performers alike!
