The Chobe District of Botswana is a vibrant and diverse region, boasting stunning natural beauty and abundant wildlife. The Chobe National Park is the most popular tourist attraction in the area, offering visitors the opportunity to observe huge herds of elephants as they traverse the savannahs and woodlands. There are also plenty of other animals to be seen including Cape buffaloes, zebras, hyenas and hippopotamus. Boat trips on the Chobe River offer up-close encounters with hippos, crocodiles and an abundance of birdlife.

Another highlight for tourists visiting Chobe District is Sedudu Island where you can explore unique sand forests which are populated by birds such as Pel's Fishing Owl and White-backed Night Heron.

The area has a rich cultural history with ancient villages left behind by Kuba Bushmen dating back more than 5 000 years ago. It is also home to one of Africa's oldest irrigation systems - Tsodilo Hills - which was constructed around 800 AD by early farmers living in the region.
