Visit Sergipe

Sergipe is a small Brazilian state located in the northeast of the country, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital city is Aracaju and it is home to about 2 million people.

Sergipe has many attractions for tourists looking for a unique experience. One of its most popular destinations is Atalaia beach which stretches along its coastline and features white sand and crystal clear waters. There are also other beaches such as Boca da Barra, Veleiros, and Estancia where visitors can find plenty of activities like surfing or snorkeling to enjoy.

History lovers should explore Sergipe's colonial-era towns and churches like Sao Cristovao which was founded in 1590 by the Portuguese settlers. Tourists can also visit museums such as Museu Riomar de Artes Visuais or Farol de Santa Maria, one of Brazil's oldest lighthouses built in 1853 that still stands on an island at the entrance of Sergipe's bay today.
