Visit Burgas Province

The Burgas Province of Bulgaria is located on the Black Sea Coast and is known for its pristine beaches, national parks, and vibrant cultural history. From the ancient seaside city of Sozopol to the bustling resort town of Sunny Beach, Burgas has something for everyone.

Popular tourist attractions include Ropotamo Nature Reserve with its lush forests and winding waterways as well as the historical town of Nesebar which dates back to ancient Greek times. Here visitors find old churches, monasteries, ruins, and cobblestone streets. The city's Sea Garden park is a great place to spend time outdoors enjoying nature or taking a leisurely stroll along its promenade.

Burgas also has an interesting historical past dating back to 2nd century AD when it was part of Thrace under Roman rule. In 812 AD it became part of the first Bulgarian Empire before being taken over by Byzantines in 863 AD who renamed it "Porolissum" after their own god Poros. Today Burgas continues to blend modern culture with its rich past making it an ideal destination for history buffs as well as those looking for sun-kissed beaches and adventure-filled days out in nature.
