Visit Dobrich Province


The Dobrich Province of Bulgaria is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the country. Located on the Black Sea Coast, it's known for its stunning natural scenery and endless sunny beaches. The province's capital city, Dobrich, is home to many historical sites and interesting museums that tell the story of its past. There are plenty of activities to enjoy here including fishing, hiking, bird watching and cycling.

One must-see tourist attraction in Dobrich Province is Balchik Castle which was built by Romanian Queen Maria in 1924 as her summer residence. Nowadays it features a gorgeous botanical garden and several other buildings that were part of this royal palace complex over time.

Another popular place to visit here is Cape Kaliakra which lies at the end of a long narrow strip surrounded by sea rocks and cliffs. Its breathtaking views make it an ideal spot for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

An interesting historical fact about this area is that during World War II Dobrich was occupied by Bulgarian forces who set up concentration camps for Jews from neighboring regions like Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Many people perished during this period but today there are several monuments dedicated to those who lost their lives here during the war.
