Visit Lovech Province


The Lovech Province of Bulgaria is a region located in the center of the country and it offers a variety of activities for tourists. The area is known for its outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. It is also home to many historical sites like the Varosha Fortress, ruins of an old castle which dates back to the 14th century.

One popular tourist attraction in the province is Shipka Pass National Monument - a memorial dedicated to those who fought during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78. The Lovech Province has been inhabited since prehistoric times and has been part of Bulgarian history since at least 681 AD when it was conquered by Khan Asparuh during his campaign against Byzantium.
