The Southwest region of Cameroon is one of the most beautiful parts of the country. It has a diverse landscape, with rolling hills in the westernmost part and dense forests in other areas. The area is home to many endangered species, including the Cross River gorilla, mandrill, and forest elephant. Tourists can explore Mount Cameroon - an active volcano - or take a boat ride along one of its major rivers, such as the Wouri River.

The Southwest region also contains several historical sites which are worth visiting. The Bakweri people have inhabited this area for centuries and are known for their traditional artworks such as baskets and drums created from natural materials found in their surroundings. Visitors can also explore some ancient pyramids located near Bafoussam town or visit Nkongsamba - once a fishing village but now a bustling city which was established around 1780 by King Njoh Molinge I during his reign over Banyang-Mbo territory.

Finally, travelers should not miss out on Kribi Beach - an idyllic beach with white sand and crystal clear waters that make it one of Cameroon's most popular tourist destinations!
