Trans-Canada Highway, Banff, AB T1L 1K2, Canada
Services:

Just as you arrive in Banff, turn right just after the exit from the highway to stop and gaze at the reflections of Mount Rundle on the surface of the lake. The lake is still and cool, and you are undisturbed apart from a couple other onlookers also savoring the serenity.

Whether you go in the morning, afternoon or sunset, you will be greeted by different skies and colors. Also drive slowly and you may see deers along the road.

Plan your visit

Planning your visit to Vermilion Lakes Viewpoint in Banff is easier than ever! Here are some tips and tricks to ensure that you have a great experience: 1. Get there early - the viewpoint gets busy quite quickly, so it’s best to arrive early in the morning to get the best views. 2. Wear appropriate clothing - it can get chilly at higher altitudes, so make sure you’re dressed for both sun and wind. 3. Carry water - there’s no close source of water near the viewing area, so bring along adequate supplies for yourself and any companions you’re bringing along with you. 4. Do not miss it when arriving in Banff. This is at the entrance of the city on the right.
