Peace Bridge is a striking pedestrian bridge that spans the Bow River in Calgary, Canada. Designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the bridge is a marvel of modern engineering and design, featuring a unique helical steel structure enclosed in red and white glass. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering stunning views of the city’s skyline and the surrounding natural beauty.
While visiting Peace Bridge, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic RiverWalk pathway, which runs along both sides of the Bow River. The Prince’s Island Park, a lush urban park with picnic areas, walking trails, and a large playground, is also a short walk from the bridge. Be aware of the time as the bridge closes at night and is open only 6am to 10pm during summer months.
