Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, located on Vancouver Island in Canada. With a population of more than 85,000 people, it is the 15th largest metropolitan area in Canada and the most densely populated city on Vancouver Island. As such, it's often referred to as "The Garden City" for its abundance of parks and public gardens.

One of Victoria's most recognizable landmarks is The Empress Hotel which overlooks Victoria Harbour and offers majestic views of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Tourists can also explore Craigdarroch Castle, a remarkable Victorian-era castle built in 1890 by coal baron Robert Dunsmuir.

Visitors to Victoria will want to take a stroll down Government Street where they'll find an array of unique boutiques and restaurants that offer everything from high-end fashion items to delicious local seafood dishes. Stroll around Beacon Hill Park or Ogden Point Breakwater for breathtaking views overlooking the water with both providing picturesque landscapes that capture why Victoria has become known as one of Canada's premier tourist destinations.
