Visit Ribeira Brava

Ribeira Brava is a municipality on the island of Santiago in Cape Verde. It stretches along the western coast of the island and is known for its beautiful beaches and breathtaking landscape. The area has many tourist attractions including Fort Real de Sao Filipe, one of the oldest fortresses in Cape Verde, as well as Praia Piquinique, a popular beach with stunning views.

The town also offers an interesting history to explore. During colonial times, Ribeira Brava was home to many influential families from both Europe and Africa that helped shape the culture of the city today. One such family was those who enslaved Africans brought over from West Africa to work at sugar plantations on Santiago Island during this period.

Ribeira Brava is also a great place for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling with plenty of trails along its coastline. With its stunning scenery and rich cultural history, it's no wonder why it's so popular among tourists looking to experience more than just sunbathing on Cape Verde's beautiful beaches!
