Visit Bangui

Bangui is the capital city of the Central African Republic, located in the western part of the country. It is situated on the banks of the Ubangi River and has a population of almost 700,000 people.

Bangui offers visitors a mix of cultural attractions, historical sites and plenty to see and explore. Tourists can visit landmarks such as The Basilica Notre-Dame de la Paix or take in one of Bangui's many markets to get a taste for local life. There are also several parks where travelers can enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing or walking along the riverbank paths.

One interesting historical fact about Bangui is that it was founded by French explorers in 1889 after they discovered an abandoned village at its location on the Ubangi River. It became an administrative center for French Equatorial Africa and was later named as its capital city in 1906 when it officially became part of France's colonies.
