Ouham-Pende is a prefecture of the Central African Republic, located in the west of the country. Its main town and capital is Paoua. The prefecture is largely covered by savanna, dotted with parks and dense forests in some areas. It is home to many species of wildlife, including elephants and antelopes.

One popular tourist destination within Ouham-Pende is Dzanga Sangha National Park, which features a diverse range of flora and fauna as well as rare plants such as bantu trees. The park also has many cultural sites such as villages and archaeological remains that date back to early human settlements.

An interesting historical fact about Ouham-Pende is that it was once part of an independent kingdom called Pende Kingdom which had its own language, culture and laws before becoming part of the Central African Republic in 1906.
