Visit Los Lagos

Los Lagos, Chile is home to some of the country's most stunning natural beauty. The region is known for its numerous lakes, fjords and volcanoes, as well as its charming towns and cities. Perhaps the most popular tourist attraction in Los Lagos is the imposing Volcan Osorno. Located near Puerto Varas, this magnificent volcano stands over 2500 meters tall and provides spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. For a more tranquil experience, head out on a boat tour on Todos Los Santos Lake and explore some of its many small islands or take a short hike up Cerro Puntiagudo for incredible panoramas of the lake below.

A visit to Los Lagos would not be complete without exploring its rich cultural history. One interesting historical fact about this region is that it was once home to various indigenous ethnic groups - such as Mapuche people - who left behind ancient archaeological sites which can still be found scattered throughout the area today.
