Los Rios is one of the 16 regions in Chile, located in the southern part of the country and bordered by the Pacific Ocean. It features a long coastline with plenty of stunning beaches, and a temperate climate that makes visiting any time of year pleasant. Notable tourist attractions include Panguipulli National Park, known for its gorgeous lakes and volcanoes; Valdivia, home to many historic buildings such as churches and colonial mansions; and Chiloe National Park, which is renowned for its distinctive wooden churches.

The region has an interesting history that dates back to 1553 when Pedro de Valdivia founded Valdivia at the mouth of Valdivia River - making it one of Chile's oldest cities. Later on in 1645, Chiloe was declared an independent kingdom under King Garcia Hurtado de Mendoza. Today, Los Rios is known for its lush natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage - offering visitors plenty to explore.
