Visit Guangxi

Guangxi is an autonomous region in the southern part of China, bordering Vietnam. It is known for its stunning landscape of limestone karst peaks and clear rivers. Popular tourist destinations include Yangshuo, with its picturesque scenery and outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and bicycling; Longsheng, with terraced rice fields carved into the steep hillsides; and Guilin city, home to dramatic landscapes including Elephant Trunk Hill.

In addition to its natural beauty, Guangxi also has a rich history stretching back thousands of years. It was one of the earliest places settled by the Han Chinese during their migration southward in ancient times. During the late Imperial period it was made a separate prefecture from Guangdong province before becoming an autonomous region in 1958.
