Discover Daokou

Daokou is a small city located in the southern Chinese province of Hunan. It sits at the meeting point of three rivers and has a population of around 60,000 people. The city is known for its vibrant local culture and picturesque landscape, surrounded by mountains and greenery.

The main attractions to see in Daokou include the ancient Daoist temple known as Bishou Temple, which is believed to be over 1000 years old. Visitors can explore its many halls dedicated to different deities from Taoist mythology or take part in traditional ceremonies such as setting off firecrackers or burning incense sticks. Other sites worth seeing are Dingsha Ancient Town with its winding alleys, old buildings and traditional shops; and Wuling Mountain National Park with its lush forests, rocky peaks and scenic waterfalls.

There are also plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy in Daokou such as hiking around the various trails criss crossing through the countryside or taking a boat ride along one of the rivers that run through the area.
