Visit Jiangsu
A trip to Jiangsu would not be complete without a visit to Suzhou, an ancient canal town known for its gardens and canals. The Lingering Garden is especially popular tourist attraction with traditional pavilions, halls and ponds surrounded by lush vegetation. Another must-see spot is Nanjing, home to some of China's oldest attractions like Confucius Temple and Dr Sun Yat-Sen Mausoleum.
Historically speaking, Jiangsu has long been recognized for its cultural significance since the Zhou Dynasty (1045-256 BC). During this period it became an important center of trade and commerce which would continue throughout Imperial China centuries later. In modern times it has transitioned into one of China's most economically advanced regions with several major metropolises such as Wuxi, Changzhou and Suzhou that attract migrants from around the world who seek jobs in their booming industries such as electronics manufacturing or IT services
