The Bolivar Department of Colombia is a region located in the northern part of the country. It is known for its extensive Caribbean coastline and its gorgeous beaches, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Colombia. One must-see attraction that Bolivar has to offer is the Rosario Islands, an archipelago off the coast known for its fantastic coral reef and abundant marine life. Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, fishing, diving and more while exploring this tropical paradise.

In addition to natural wonders, Bolivar offers plenty of historical sites as well. Cartagena de Indias was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its colonial architecture and rich history.
