Visit Brazzaville

Brazzaville is the capital city and the largest region of the Republic of Congo. It is located on the north side of Pool Malebo, a lake in central Africa, which borders both the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon. It has a population of around 1.5 million people, most of whom live in poverty due to civil wars that have occurred over decades.
The region offers many fascinating attractions for tourists to explore, from its bustling markets and colonial architecture on display in city centre areas such as Boulevard du Commando General to remarkable natural sites like Ngoouele National Park - home to diverse wildlife species including hippopotami and elephants. Tourists looking for an interesting mix of cultural experiences may also want to visit The Pointe-Noire Cathedral or check out traditional artworks at Mouflon Gallery.
A historical fact worth noting about Brazzaville is that it's known as one of two cities that claimed independence from French colonial rule on August 15th 1960 (the other being Kinshasa). This event marked a new dawn for African nations at the time who were finally able to take charge of their own futures once more.
