Visit Provincia de Cartago

Provincia de Cartago is located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica and is the second oldest city in the country, founded in 1563. It is a popular destination for tourists due to its convenient proximity to both San Jose and the Caribbean coast. Popular attractions include La Basilica de Nuestra Senora de los Angeles, built in 1639 and considered one of the most important religious sites in Costa Rica, as well as Parque Nacional Volcan Irazu, which offers stunning views of nearby volcanoes.
