Visit La Habana


La Habana, the capital of Cuba, is a vibrant and colorful city. It is the largest city in Cuba and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Caribbean. The cobblestoned streets, picturesque buildings and lively music make it an experience unlike anywhere else on earth.

Visit Plaza de la Revolucion for a glimpse into Cuban history - this square was once used for military parades during Fidel Castro's revolutionary reign. Take a stroll along El Malecon, Havana's eight-kilometer seafront promenade, to visit some of Havana's iconic landmarks such as El Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro and La Bodeguita del Medio.

Havana has an interesting historical past that dates back to 1519 when it was founded by Spanish conquistador Diego Velazquez de Cuellar. Over its 500 year history, it has been controlled by multiple countries - first Spain then finally gaining full independence in 1902 after fighting a three-year long war against Spain known as "La Guerra Chiquita" (The Little War).
