Visit Matanzas Province

Matanzas Province is located in central Cuba and known for its charming towns and beautiful beaches. Its capital, Matanzas City, is often referred to as the "Athens of Cuba" due to its many universities, theaters and museums.

Visitors to Matanzas Province can explore the Yumuri Valley, an area full of rivers, lakes and caves that offers plenty of outdoor activities such as horseback riding and trekking. The beautiful Varahicacos Ecological Reserve in the mountains of northern Matanzas is also a great destination for nature lovers.
