The Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic is a beautiful region located in the center of the country, northwest of Prague. It is home to many natural wonders such as rocky mountains and rolling hills, as well as charming towns with colorful architecture.

When visiting this area, there are two locations that should not be missed - Karlstejn Castle and Kutna Hora. Karlstejn Castle is a towering Gothic castle dating back to 1348 when it was built by the King of Bohemia Charles IV. The city of Kutna Hora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where visitors can explore over 20 unique historical monuments including St. Barbara's Cathedral and Sedlec Ossuary, an incredibly ornate chapel made entirely out of human bones.

The region also has a rich history and was once part of the famous Kingdom of Bohemia which ruled from 870 until 1918. During this time it became known for its significant impact on Renaissance art and culture which can still be seen today in local museums throughout Central Bohemia.
