It boasts many tourist attractions, including the Jested Ski Resort and Liberec Zoo. Liberec has a long history dating back to the 13th century when it was granted city rights by King Wenceslas II. Today it is a vibrant cultural centre with an impressive array of museums, galleries and theatres.

The region offers visitors plenty to see and do, from outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding and hiking to exploring its rich cultural heritage. Excursions to nearby castles such as Frydlant Castle or Trautenau Castle are popular amongst tourists. Outdoor enthusiasts should also visit Spicak Nature Reserve for some spectacular views over the Bohemian Forest mountain range.
