Discover Haderslev Kommune

Haderslev Kommune is a municipality located in the south of Denmark, on the border with Germany. It's known for its picturesque coastline, rolling hills and valleys, and ancient castle ruins. With a population of just over 40,000 people it's one of Denmark's smaller municipalities but offers plenty to explore and enjoy.

The city itself has narrow cobblestone streets lined with boutique shops, cafes and restaurants serving up traditional Danish dishes. It also has a selection of museums that tell the city's history from medieval times to present day. The city centre is home to the 16th century Sankt Severin Church which dominates the skyline as well as many other historic buildings from Haderslev's past.

For nature lovers there are plenty of activities on offer including hiking in the nearby Norreskov forest or walking along Haderslev Fjord - one of Denmark's most beautiful waterways. You can also take boat trips out onto Haderslev Fjord to see Mols Bjerge National Park or visit Slikhuset - an old merchant house which now houses an ice cream parlour!
