The Ali Sabieh Region of Djibouti is a diverse region located in the southwest corner of the country. This area boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Africa, from rolling hills to lush green valleys and desert plains. Along with its stunning landscape, Ali Sabieh offers visitors a wealth of attractions from its wildlife parks to cultural sites and historical monuments. Among the top tourist attractions are Lake Abbe, an eerily beautiful salt lake surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and canyons; Assal National Park, home to herds of gazelles and baboons; and Day Forest National Park where leopards, mongoose, wildcats, hyenas and numerous bird species roam freely.

Additionally, Ali Sabieh is steeped in history with traces dating back to pre-colonial times.
