Visit Dajabón Province

The Dajabon Province is located in the north-west corner of the Dominican Republic and borders Haiti. It has a population of just over 250,000 people and is known for its diverse culture and beautiful scenery. Home to several interesting tourist destinations, Dajabon offers much for travellers to explore.

One must-see destination in Dajabon is El Choco National Park, where visitors can take in spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea while hiking up one of its many trails. There's also La Represa El Guayabo which offers fishing, boat trips and other activities on their man-made lake.

Dajabon has deep roots in history as it was one of the first provinces to be founded by Spanish conquistadors during colonization in 1565. Furthermore, this region was also home to some of the most famous criollo revolts against Spanish rule during the 19th century and today serves as a reminder of Dominican resilience against oppression.
