Visit Espaillat Province

The Espaillat province is located in the north-central region of the Dominican Republic, and includes several municipalities, such as Moca, Mao and San Rafael del Yuma. This area has a wonderful landscape with rivers, mountains and forests. It also has a rich cultural history with strong African roots. The capital of the province is Moca; which is an important hub for the regions economy due to its production of coffee, cacao and other agricultural goods.

When visiting the Espaillat Province you should explore Cascada el Limon in San Rafael del Yuma which offers beautiful waterfalls surrounded by lush vegetation or take a tour around Parque Mirador Sur where you can find interesting rock formations sculpted by nature into amazing shapes. It's also home to El Museo de Naturaleza y Cultura (Nature & Culture Museum) that displays artifacts from ancient Taino people who inhabited this region before colonization began.

One interesting historical fact about this region is that it was one of the most powerful Spanish colonies at one time due to its close proximity to France's Caribbean colony Saint-Domingue (modern day Haiti). During this period wealthy merchants built magnificent homes in cities such as Moca; many of which are still standing today as seen during tours around town centers!
