Visit Hato Mayor Province

The Hato Mayor Province is located in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic, and is bordered by El Seibo and San Pedro de Macoris provinces. It is known as a vibrant province filled with lush natural beauty, historical sites, and cultural attractions. The city of Hato Mayor del Rey serves as the capital of this bustling province.

When visiting Hato Mayor Province, tourists naturally gravitate to the Laguna Limon Nature Reserve which boasts over 3,000 acres of tropical forest and an abundance of wildlife. Visitors can also take a dive into history at "Las Malvinas" cave where guano (bird droppings) was mined during the 17th century - making it one of the oldest industries in Dominican Republic! There are also many outdoor activities available such as horseback riding along El Limon Beach or taking a tour around Uvero Alto Beach on an ATV for stunning views from the nearby cliffs.

In addition to its natural beauty, Hato Mayor Province is home to many rich cultural institutions like La Casa Museo del Cacique Diego Toral that pays homage to their first indigenous leader who fought for dominion against Spanish colonization back in 1510 AD. This museum houses artifacts from local Taino culture including pottery and arrowheads that have been found throughout this part of the country.
