The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a grand museum located in the heart of Cairo, Egypt. It offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore and understand the rich history of Egypt, from Predynastic times through to modern day. Among its impressive collection are over 160,000 artifacts and relics that span various periods of Egyptian civilization. Visitors can marvel at exhibits such as mummies from Ancient Egypt’s tombs, statues from Karnak Temple Complex, and sculptures from the Middle Kingdom period. There are also interactive displays that allow visitors to experience ancient rituals or take part in virtual archaeological excavations. One highlight is the Hall of Mummies which showcases many sarcophagi and mummified remains - an unforgettable experience for any visitor!
