The Dakahlia Governorate of Egypt is located in the northeast Delta region. Its capital city is El-Mansoura and it borders Beheira to the west, Sharqia to the east, Kafr el-Sheikh to the north and Damietta to the south. It has a population of over 4 million inhabitants and its main sources of income are agriculture and manufacturing.
