Visit Red Sea Governorate

The Red Sea Governorate of Egypt is located in the south-eastern part of the country, bordering Sudan and Israel. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country due to its stunning beaches, coral reefs and crystal clear waters.

In Hurghada, one of the cities within this governorate, you can swim with dolphins or go snorkeling and scuba diving in some of the best spots for underwater exploration. For a more cultural experience visit Luxor--a city full of ancient monuments from different periods--and gaze at majestic temples such as Karnak or Valley of Kings.

Historically, this region has been an important trading route due to its proximity to Africa and Asia for centuries. It was once a major hub for seafaring traders who used it as a port during their long journeys since its waters were much safer than those in other parts of Egypt.
