Visit Annobón Province

The Annobon Province of Equatorial Guinea is a small island located in the Gulf of Guinea, off the coast of West Africa. It has a population of approximately 7,000 people and is known for its rich biodiversity. The island's terrain consists mostly of volcanic rock formations, making it an ideal destination for hikers who wish to appreciate the local flora and fauna.

Annobon's main tourist attraction is San Antonio de Pale National Park, home to many species of endemic birds and other wildlife. Other popular spots include Playa Santa Isabel beach, with its picturesque cliffs and crystal-clear waters; and Punta Elangeri lagoon - perfect for swimming or bird watching.

The province has a long history that dates back to the 16th century when Spanish settlers arrived on the island and declared it part of their empire in 1573. Annobon was then transferred to Portuguese control in 1778 before ultimately becoming part of Equatorial Guinea in 1959.
