Visit Bioko Sur Province

Bioko Sur Province is one of the seven provinces of Equatorial Guinea, located in the continental region of Africa. It covers an area of 2,017 km2 and had a population of 109,251 as of 2015. The capital is Malabo and the province borders Annobon Province to the south and Monte Macias Province to the east.

A visit to Bioko Sur would not be complete without a trip to Corisco Bay which has some beautiful beaches with sparkling blue waters where you can enjoy relaxing walks along the shoreline or sunbathing on white sand. Another popular tourist spot is Pico Basile which offers stunning views from its 986-metre summit and also hosts a spectacular diversity of flora and fauna in its dense tropical forests.

Bioko Sur is also known for its rich historical heritage: it was once home to Fernando Po (now Bioko Island), one of Spain's last African colonies until 1968 when it declared independence as Equatorial Guinea.
