The Northern Red Sea Region of Eritrea, located in Northeast Africa, is a beautiful and diverse region. The stunning landscape of mountains, deserts, and beaches make it an ideal destination for all types of travelers. Popular tourist sites include the Dahlak Archipelago, with its pristine coral reefs and crystal clear waters perfect for diving and snorkeling; the ancient city of Assab with its wealth of historical artifacts; and Massawa's bustling fish market. Visitors can also enjoy the region's rich culture through music, art, dance performances, and traditional cuisine.

An interesting fact about this area is that during World War II it was occupied by British forces which built a network of roads throughout the region to better connect towns to each other as well as to port cities such as Massawa. Today these roads are still used by locals as well as tourists allowing them to explore some of Eritrea's most remote areas.
