Visit Järva County


Jarva County is a county located in the center of Estonia, in the northern part of the country. It borders with five other counties: Harju, Rapla, Valga, Laane-Viru and Viljandi. The capital of Jarva County is Paide and its population is around 43,000 people.

The main attraction in Jarva County is the picturesque landscape that includes forests and various lakes. There are also couple of popular tourist locations such as the Raba Nature Reserve and Kuremae Manor Park. Both are perfect places to explore the beauty of nature while discovering historical sites from centuries ago.

An interesting historical fact about Jarva County is that it was once part of a larger region called Livonia which existed between 1558 to 1721 before being divided into four separate countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland).
